What is La Familia Street Culture?
La Familia Street Culture is an independent South African street-culture house, founded in Johannesburg in 2014. We deal in rare sneakers, luxury fashion and streetwear, make our own label, Protect The Family, and run Café La Familia at our flagship in Sea Point, Cape Town.
Is La Familia Street Culture a sneaker reseller?
Yes. Since 2014 we have bought, owned and resold rare and limited sneakers, alongside luxury fashion, streetwear and accessories, often below retail. We are one of South Africa’s longest-running premium sneaker resellers, with stores in Sandton and Rosebank before our Sea Point flagship. See Since 2014.
Are your pieces authentic?
Yes. Every piece is checked by our team before it is sold, and we stand behind what we sell. Pre-owned and consigned pieces are sold in the condition described; ask us for extra photos before you buy.
Do you own your stock?
We buy and own the vast majority of the pieces on our shelves, with a small, select consignment offering.
Can you find a specific pair or piece for me?
Yes. Message us on WhatsApp with the brand, model, size or a photo. We confirm the price and timing with you before anything is ordered.
Can I buy online?
Our online store isn’t open to the public yet. Visit us in store, or message us on WhatsApp and the team will confirm availability, condition and price personally.
Where are you and when are you open?
Adelphi Galleria, Ground floor, 277 Main Road, Sea Point, Cape Town. Tuesday and Wednesday 10:00–19:00, Thursday to Sunday 10:00–22:00, closed on Mondays. Walk-ins welcome.
Do you deliver?
Yes, within South Africa through Bob Go and its courier partners: Economy, Overnight and Same Day where offered for your address, quoted live. International delivery on request. Track your order at lafamiliastreetculture.com/a/track.
Are you an authorised retailer of the brands you sell?
No. La Familia Street Culture is an independent reseller. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or an authorised retailer of the brands we sell, apart from our own label, Protect The Family, and the collaborations we name. All trademarks belong to their owners.
What is Protect The Family?
Protect The Family is our own label. It debuted on 6 July 2017 at First Thursday in Rosebank and was shown at AFI Xperience during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Joburg in August 2017. It returned with sell-out releases at the end of 2024.
What else is part of La Familia?
